In this activity, we build on the ways that students see numbers inside of number in dot talks to compare two sets of dots in a game called Which is More? Students compare two groups of dots drawn from a deck of cards, developing strategies for determining which group has more dots both visually and by using counting strategies. This is an important developmental concept where students build understanding of the size of groups without counting.
